We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
- Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
- When we use map services (Mapbox). The on-course GPS and hole-map features display maps and satellite imagery provided by Mapbox. When you use these features, your device requests map imagery from Mapbox, which receives technical data about the request (such as your IP address and the map area requested) as described in the Mapbox Privacy Policy. Native mobile app versions of the Service may instead use the Google Maps Platform; where they do, Google receives similar technical request data as described in the Google Privacy Policy. In Short: We use only essential cookies and similar technologies. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
We use a small set of essential cookies and similar browser-storage technologies that are required for the Services to function:
- Authentication — a Supabase Auth token stored in your browser's localStorage keeps you signed in.
- Offline operation — service-worker caches and IndexedDB storage let the app load quickly and record scores offline, syncing when you reconnect.
- Transactional email — service emails we send (via Resend) may include a small pixel that tells us whether the email was opened, so we can troubleshoot delivery.
- Maps — the on-course map feature counts map loads so the feature stays within our map provider's service limits.
We do not use third-party analytics services, advertising networks, cross-site tracking cookies, or social media pixels, and we do not permit third parties to place tracking technologies on our Services for advertising purposes. Sponsorship content that may appear in the Services (for example, a golf course sponsoring a hole) is contextual and is not targeted using your personal information.
Because these technologies are essential, the Services cannot function without them; if you clear or block them in your browser, you may be signed out and offline features may stop working. Specific information about how we use such technologies and how you can clear them is set out in our Cookie Policy.
5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.

In general, we permanently delete or de-identify your personal information within three (3) months after your account is terminated, subject to these limited exceptions:
- Shared golf history. Scores and results from rounds, events, and leagues you shared with other players are preserved so other participants' records stay intact. - Course data. Per-user course data is retained for a maximum of one (1) year from your last interaction with that course.
- Legal purposes. We may retain limited information where necessary to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or comply with legal obligations.
